Take on the Tuna
My day job is as an Interactive Production Developer at GKV Communications in Baltimore, MD. What that really entails is doing what I normally do every day, but for money.
Normally, I make things like banner ads and e-mail web blasts. But once in a while, I get to flex the old Pacdude Games chops and make games for the masses. This go round, I made the Brooks Velour Summer Swim-Off for the Maryland Lottery, for their Medal Madness promotion. It's a simple action game: Swim as fast as you can across the pool, then challenge your friends on Facebook.
As Lead Developer on the game, I came up with the look and feel of the graphics, drawing all the sports-themed UI and UX. I also did some art directin' with the actor playing Brooks Velour, getting the shots I need to get him to look like he's swimming like a boss.
I'm proud of it, because it turned out real well. If you're looking to play it, follow this link and go to town!
